COMBINATION SOCKET

The most common retrieving tool. The interval slips can be made in different sizes to grab rope socket necks, threaded pins on lost tools. Slips (3) with hardened teeth fit inside the mouth bore and are held in place by a powerful spring and wood block. The socket is pushed over the neck or tool threads and the teeth on the slips grab and hold during retrieval. State size of object being retrieved. Extra slip sizes available.

FULL CIRCLE SLIP SOCKET

Similar in function to the combination socket, generally for more difficult jobs, larger holes and jobs that require harder jarring to loosen stuck tools. Features 4-piece slips more suitable for catching smoother, round surfaced box and pin collars. 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" -- 7 API or larger.

CORRUGATED FRICTION SOCKET

Holds lost tools with friction provided by the corrugations inside the thin walled tube. Suitable for catching tools in holes too tight for thicker walled retrieving tools and for catching tools of irregular shapes.

ROPE SPEARS

Available in 1, 2 or 3 pronged designs. For retrieving tools by grabbing broken cable that has fallen into hole.

LATCH JACK

For retrieving lost bailers or sand pumps from hole. Hinged latch opens over bail and closes again allowing bailer to be pulled up hole by its bailer.

JAR BUMPER

Jar bumpers are used to loosen tools that have become stuck in the hole when the jars have not been used on the drilling string or for use when the jars are not effective due to a caving formation. They are run on the sand line and are equipped with a fishing neck. This type jar bumper is recommended for heavy jarring. Also available with eyelet top.

CASING SWEDGE

To expand collapsed casing or remove dents. Fluted to allow passage of fluids. Sizes available for 4" through 20" casing.
